Question:How do I get through, Empty Nest Syndrome?

I am a single Mom, my daughter is 17 and we are very close. Lately I have been very sad and scared because She is almost grown, her Senior year. I love being her Mom, I want her to go to college and have a full and happy life but I feel I will be lost when she goes. What purpose will my life have? I am also afraid of being alone, I lost my Dad on Christmas Day year before last and he was the only other family I had. The economy is so bad and I worry day to day if my company will survive. I have been there 17 years and they are my family. I want to do so many things for my daughter this next year, her yearbook, her class ring, prom etc. I fear if I lose my job, I wont be able to make her Senior year all that it should be. When I try to talk to coworkers or friends about my empty nest concerns, they think I am crazy, most if not all, said they we're happy when their kids moved out.

I don't know where to start but I want to make positive changes for both of us?
