Find yourself

hzleyz

When your child graduates and goes off to college, military, or  their own life, it is a time to invest in you.  It may sound silly but, go out buy yourself a new dress, new underwear, have a facial, treat yourself GOOD!!!!!

You deserve it!

We are more than parents. It was odd the first few years not refering myself as my daughters mom.  Creating your own identity beyond your children is like painting on a clean canvas.  Enjoy your life.

I AGREE!! You have to begin asking yourself, "What do I want the next chapter of my life to look like?" BEFORE your kid(s) leave home. So by the time they do, hopefully you have some answers to that question and you can pursue them. Its FINALLY YOUR turn! And when you have something to look forward to, you don't focus on your child not being home, you have excitement for pursuing what you want to happen next!

The empty nest isn't near as scarey or depressing as people make it sound. Its up to you to make it EXCITING!
