Sheryl Crow Stumps for Breast Cancer Research
Singer Sheryl Crow, who made her breast cancer health diagnosis public in early 2006, was on Capital Hill recently to push the Breast Cancer and Environmental Research Act. The bill would allow research facilities to study the effects of environmental factors on breast cancer. Crow reminded the Congressmen that by studying environmental factors on breast cancer, it could lead to further understanding of other cancers, such as the brain cancer with which Sen. Ted Kennedy was recently diagnosed. Congress will be debating this in the coming weeks, so there won't be progress anytime soon.
