When a Crib is Too Small
When we think of welcoming a new child into our lives, we can rattle off a list of supplies they need without thinking twice: blankets, wipes, diapers, cribs and changing tables—the list is long, but simple. When you plan on adopting an older child, that list sure looks a lot different.
Lisa Milbrand wrote a helpful article for prospective parents of older children, with tips and advice on what to purchase and what to avoid. Some of us may think it's pretty obvious what your new family member will need, but when you're standing in the front of a Target, your mind could draw a blank. Milbrand’s tips are practical and fun, like having a shower and sticking with a theme, such as children's books [always a good thing to have around, and will save you tons of money!] or cool school supplies.
