The importance of Z's.
Imagine if everyone in your life, including you, got enough sleep. Dreamy, huh? You might never be involved in another senseless argument. Or respond to a family member in that crab-icus maximus way. You and everyone else could concentrate on any task, at will. Just think of how much you’d all accomplish.
Do your part to make the world a better place and get some sleep. Go to bed at the same time every night—on the early side, if possible—and sleep for around eight hours. Even if you think it can’t be done, give it a try. You won’t regret it.
Lack of sleep can significantly hinder concentration, according to the National Sleep Foundation. Also, you’re more likely to maximize your mental perception when you wake up earlier. In other words, starting your eight hours earlier, rather than later in the day—say, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. or 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.—means you’ll be more productive. (Staying up late and sleeping in makes you lethargic and unable to focus.) Finally, you’ll be most rejuvenated when you don’t sleep beyond your eight hours—more than that can make you feel tired and sluggish.
Who knew you could get too much sleep?
I try and catch a 30 minute nap about half way through my awake hours. This tends to recharge my batteries for the second half of my day, Try it if you can!
