'Tis the season... to complain.
Can you believe how cold it is? Waa. This heat is killing me. Waa. I wish there were some leaves on these trees. Waa. Why is it the grass is always greener in some other season?
If you’re always wishing for something else, you can’t possibly enjoy the moment. Channel that energy into appreciating what is. Instead of longing for snow in the dog days of summer, be thankful for all summertime offers—vacations, open windows, ocean breezes, lighter clothing and the most importantly, less laundry. During winter months, take advantage of cold-weather activities—snuggle up in front of a fire, build a snowman, go skiing, build an outdoor ice rink—you get the idea.
Make the most of what each season has to offer, from apple picking in autumn to planting a garden in spring. You’ll create lasting memories and gain a new appreciation for what’s right in front of you. Because really, what else is there?
