Trash Your Trash Bags
Reusable totes are great for trips to the grocery store, but for your daily trash—um, no. And, paper bags aren’t the most durable. Once your trash is in the can, you don’t want to have to see it again—ever.
Fortunately, there’s a way to wrap your trash up tight without contributing so much petroleum-based plastic to landfills. Use biodegradable bags. They decompose much faster than their plastic counterparts (which take over 100 years) and they’re strong enough to keep your trash where it belongs—in the bag.
A couple of good options are EcoSafe EcoBio bags or BioBags.
