Deep Thoughts...
You know all those clichés about appreciating life? You know, live each day to its fullest…you never know when your time will come…don’t take life for granted…yada, yada, yada. They help us pretend to accept the otherwise terrifying idea that at any moment, our own lives could just end. As in, buh-bye, sayonara, see ya later.
But as often as we say them, how many of us actually keep our own mortality in mind? You can remind yourself until you’re blue in the face, but eventually you just get sucked right back into the same, everyday nonsense. It must be nature’s way of protecting our sanity.
So while we can’t offer some magic answer to the age-old problem about how to appreciate life more, we can point you to yet another reminder that since you just never know, you might want to enjoy the important stuff today. Or at least soon. For a little inspiration, read the poem, “And Then It’s Winter."
Because once in a while, it’s important to take a step back from life and look reality straight in the eyeball.
how do i get to the poem and then it's winter???
