Train Me!

Train Me!

Fitness trends come and go with the changing of the seasons, but overall people want certain things out of their routine. So the American College of Sports Medicine asked 10,000 people what they felt was important in fitness today.

The results showed that overall, people want educated and experienced trainers for their fitness routine. Aside from being good to look at, people feel they are learning more and getting in shape faster with trainers than they would on their own. Plus, many have had experience with bad personal trainers, so getting someone who is knowledgeable about fitness is key. Other trends on the list include: exercise programs to combat childhood obesity, core training, strength training, yoga, Swiss ball and indoor cycling, also known as spinning.

And as we reported yesterday, fitness in the workplace is one of the most popular and growing trends in exercise today. Go ahead—do a lap around the office! [KABC.com]
