Question:Problems with wifes weight gain.

My wife of 10 years has gained a considerable amount of weight in a very short period of time shortly after we met. The weight gain is not due to pregnancy or anything out of her control; it’s simply from not eating right and not exercising. She was skinny when we dated and by the time I married her she had gained at least 40 pounds and she is now up to almost 100 pounds over her normal weight. I love her still, but her weight gain has strained our relationship for years now. I try to be fit, eat right and help her out but the weight still remains. She has lost a few pounds here and there but always ends up stopping whatever diet or exercise routine she is on, even after she starts to see results. It always seems like she makes excuses not to do the right thing but yet she still complains about being fat. Her weight makes it to where I don’t want to be intimate with her and I find myself not even wanting to be affection towards her some days because I’m so annoyed or disgusted with her. I’m not shallow, I used to be a hefty guy myself but I did what I had to do to lose the weight and I’ve been trying to help her to do the same but it’s not working. I love her and can’t live without her but I just don’t know what to do, I get so discouraged. How can I deal with this problem without being depressed over it?
