"I wish I had enough words to express what your book has done for me. Thank you over and over. It's like a guidebook to life. When I don't remember how to navigate, or even that I can, it reminds me. What a precious gift."-Deborah

Get Yourself Connected

Icon_tip_5

You can't improve relationships if you're not present in them. Isolation makes lonliness sting harder. If self-pity strikes, you're far more likely to crack a smile in the presence of others. As relationship experts point out, connected people are healthier and happier.

In social situations, don't be insular. If you’re having a bad day, ask how the other person’s day is going. Maybe you’re having a good day and the other person isn’t. You might be a source of encouragement.

Schedule time to spend with the important people in your life. When the conversation moves to you, stay connected by talking about your own feelings. Talking out feelings with a willing listener helps put our lives in perspective. It also strengthens the bond between listener and speaker, inherently improving the relationship.

Don’t spend too much time alone. Too much time spent in front of the television and computer isolates us. Get out and enjoy!
