Avoiding Health Traps

Living healthier isn’t just a result of what you do and put into your body, it also has to do with how you arrange your environment. At least that’s what researchers and Prevention magazine are claiming. The magazine put together a list of 16 things that, when placed around your home and in your life, can harm your health.

For example, in the bathroom, the mist from your toilet bowl can spray up to six feet high, so placing your toothbrush on the sink is an invitation to sickness. Also, if you want to post an exercise reminder, don’t do it on your refrigerator. Place it near a decision point, like on your car steering wheel, so you remember to go there after work. And whatever you do, do not set fruit in the kitchen sink, also known as one of the bacteria hubs of your home.
