Say Buh-Bye to Boring Diet Food

Say Buh-Bye to Boring Diet Food

These days, dieters constantly hear about the foods that they can't eat on a diet. In fact, “Cut this out!” and “Don’t eat that!” have probably become a part of many people’s diet mantras.

Losing excess weight doesn’t have to consist of cardboard-like food and no, “Yum!” There are some foods out there that are good for you and lip-smacking, too.

Take a look at some of the following grocery-aisle hits and start adding them to your menu. Adding a few simple, taste bud-pleasing food items will make you happy and take your weight loss efforts from self-deprivation to food motivation!

*BEST GRAIN: Bob’s Red Mill Organic Quinoa (per 1 cup prepared) 160 calories, 2.5 g fat, 6 g protein, 30 g carbs, 3 g fiber and 0 g sugars. This power grain is high in protein and fiber, and it’s a great trade-off for plain ol’ brown rice.

*BEST SNACKING CHEESE: Laughing Cow Mini Babybel Original (per piece) 70 calories, 6 g fat, 5 g protein, 0 g carbs and 0 g sugars. The individually-wrapped cheese wedges satisfy cheese cravings, but keep you from going overboard.

*BEST BOTTLED TEA:
Honest Tea Green Dragon (per 16-oz bottle) 60 calories, 16 g carbs and 10 g sugars. A nice change from water, and the calorie and sugar counts make it a great treat.

*BEST FLAVORED NUTS:
Emerald Cocoa Roast Almonds Dark Chocolate (per ounce) 150 calories, 12 g fat, 6 g protein, 6 g carbs, 3 g fiber and 1 g sugars. The almonds are a great source of antioxidants and the dark chocolate is, too. These are a good option to take the place of a candy bar.
