Question:That last 10 pounds. How do you shed them?

I've been hovering around the same weight for the longest time. Unfortunately it's not my ideal weight but about 10-15 pounds heavier than I should be. What are your tips for slimming down?

Answer:

One of the most common questions and one of the most common issues - loosing that last 10 pounds!

Here's a few pointers

1. Diet, Diet, Diet! And I don't mean "diet" as you need to go on a diet but diet as in "just what's in your diet". I've asked literally thousands of individuals in my time as a trainer to describe a typical day of eating and I can honestly say to this date I have never had any individual break down a day that didn't need at least a 50% overhaul. If you have the resources seek out a professional in nutrition (note - doctors are NOT your best bet for this advice usually receiving about 8 hours of schooling per year in this category).

2. Change your goal from 10-15 to 20-25lbs. Why? About 80% of us will stop just close to our goals. It doesn't even matter what the goal is but we usually find a way to "make it o.k." just stopping short. When you loose 15lbs you've again just stopped short of your goal but at least now you are where you want to be.
