Question:How have you learned to say "No"?

Now that I've been able to change my own dieting habits and stay away from stuff that will chub me up, I see a new challenge in being able to say "NO" to other folks' dieting habits.

How do you weasel out of social eating without being a pain in everyone's butt? For example, the office wants to order in pizza while the team pulls a late night or a co-worker wants to try out the eatery down the street that deep-fries everything!

I've been losing weight by just changing what/how I eat so, I can't necessarily say "I'll just add an extra mile to my run tonight" when I eat some cookies someone brought in because, I don't run.

Answer:

If someone tries to bribe me with sweets, I simply tell them, if its so important that it has to be eaten, they should eat it, its not worth me clogging my arteries!

Answer:

For me, right now I have to avoid certain foods because I just can't say no. If I do start eating my trigger foods I just can't stop at a taste. I have to do this no food is really worth giving up my goal to lose this weight. So if I'm somewhere where there is food I shouldn't eat I try to pass it up. I'm not willing to run it off either.PizZA I could eat until it's comming out of my ears so for now I avoid. So I guess it will always be hard to say no. But there will always be other pizzas or cookies etc. so just say no to that one and it will get easier.
