What is the best way to direct more qualified traffic to my 2 new websites?
I am a professional Certified Health Coach, 5 years experience, and have a fantastic brand new website for my business, BodyVisionSL. Here you can get coaching online and as well buy some great skin products. Of the many opportunities out there, what is the best way to find and filter people to the site?
Thanks! from Tatiana

I made a mistake in the last paragraph, I said:
"I suggest staying away from paid services unless you really know what you're doing and are proficient in SEO (or have access to someone who is)."
I meant to say:
I suggest staying away from pay-per-click services unless you really know what you're doing and are proficient in keyword analysis and SEM (search engine marketing).
Good question!
What you first need to do is identify your target market. I know you provide health coaching, but who is the most ideal candidate?
What is their age range?
Professional workers or students?
Those who are known to have spent money on personal training before or those who are "just interested?
Be very specific when you identify your target market. After you do this, do some research. Find out what are hot topics and common questions/issues that people in your target market have.
Then, with your newly gathered information, write articles, blog, or make YouTube videos that give solutions to the market.
By doing this, you position yourself as a professional and attract people to you naturally.
You can also look into other Web 2.0 techniques like social marketing (MySpace, Facebook) and social bookmarking.
I suggest staying away from paid services unless you really know what you're doing and are proficient in SEO (or have access to someone who is).
Well, what *I* would do is two-fold: In the short-term, I'd spend a couple hundred bucks and buy ads through something like Google's AdWords. It doesn't work for everyone but there's no minimum spend and no contract so you may as well try it.
I would also begin a long-term plan by putting as much content on my site as possible. Answer questions like: What's a health coach? Why do I need a health coach? What makes these skin care products better? Basically, ask yourself what you have to offer that no one else can and exploit that difference. You're selling what is essentially a luxury product in a "down" market. You gotta' set yourself apart. Good Luck.
