Quit Smoking, Bond Style

Quit Smoking, Bond Style

You’ve tried nicotine patches, gums, hypnosis and acupuncture all in the hopes of quitting smoking. So far, nothing has done the trick. Although this latest gadget might not be your golden ticket to quitting smoking, at least it’ll make you look cool and give you something to talk about at parties while you’re trying.

It’s called Mini Cigarette, and it's an electronic cigarette that contains a mini atomizer. What is an atomizer? It’s a device that filters out all the harmful chemicals in cigarettes, such as tar, carbon monoxide and other miscellaneous poisons, and leaves only a small amount of nicotine for the person to inhale. When the person goes to inhale, a tiny processor detects airflow and sets the filtering/vaporizing process into motion. It runs about $60, and that includes the cigarette, two batteries, a charger and six cartridges of varying nicotine strength. The replacement nicotine cartridges only cost $1.

Would you be willing to give the electronic cigarette a test try? It’s wonderful that it eliminates all the harmful substances associated with tobacco, but is anyone concerned that people could be trading one addiction in for another, becoming dependent upon their electronic cigarette?
