Smoking "No Good" for Winehouse
It’s tragic and ironic that Grammy Award-winning singer Amy Winehouse didn’t go to rehab when her daddy told her so. Had Winehouse sought help for her drug addictions and chain smoking, she might have avoided an emphysema health diagnosis.
The 24-year-old singer remains in the hospital and according to her father Mitch Winehouse, she’s “covered in nicotine patches.” She’s also been eating heartily and has gained a healthy (and much needed) 16 pounds. The doctors have told Winehouse that if she doesn’t quit smoking cigarettes and drugs, she will ruin her voice. If she continues on her current path, she could end up with an oxygen mask for the rest of her life or risk death. So far, she’s been resolute.
Do you think Amy Winehouse will stick to the doctors’ advice and truly clean up her lungs? Or will she succumb to the temptation of her addictions? Has her battle with smoking and drugs affected your opinion of her as an artist? [Daily News]
