Is there a place in America not prone to natural disasters?
In California you have earthquakes, in the Midwest, flooding and tornadoes, the coasts, particularly the Gulf Coast and Florida have their share of hurricanes.
I'm wondering where in this country you can live and be reasonably safe from some type of natural disaster.
I live in N>H>, and if you can deal with snow, you are pretty much disaster free!
I also heard that if you stick to being up north, you'll be fine. But in actuality, there is nowhere that is safe from natural disasters. The best you can do is be prepared.
I've read that Milwaukee, Phoenix and Cleveland are the three safest cities if you're trying to avoid acts of God. Makes sense. The riskiest are Miami, New Orleans and the Bay Area in California.
