SISTER GIANT: Rousing the Sleeping Giant of American Womanhood
At a recent peace conference in Vancouver, the Dalai Lama said, "The world will be saved by Western women." Internationally acclaimed spiritual teacher, Marianne Williamson, wants to make this predication a reality. On February 26, 27 and 28, 2010, she will host a weekend gathering called SISTER GIANT: Rousing the Sleeping Giant of American Womanhood.
Many of us don't realize the extent to which poverty affects the world—for example, 17,000 children die of starvation every day—but even knowing the facts, we hesitate to get involved. SISTER GIANT will address the internal as well as the external blocks to this participation. "We will journey from an understanding of our history . . . to a reclaiming of our personal power . . . and ultimately to a vital commitment to be a powerful collective force in eradicating hunger and poverty on the planet today," reads the site.
I have always loved Marianne Williamson’s work and fully support this event!
