Question:How do you get fit and get all the excess weight off for life? I have gotten rid of so much weight and yet it comes back Why!!!???

I have been thru chemo and now I am going to be 59. I have been up and down the scale more times than I care to admit. I have been thru weight watchers and that has been the longest time the weight has stayed off. Now I am going to do it again with weight watchers and I am so afraid that with my age and all it won't go off and stay off. My exercise is to do cardio daily for at least a half hour on bad days (over filled days) the rest of the time I am doing weights and swim a mile everytime I get into the pool at the Y. I do elipticals and treadmill and walk outside. I think my weight thinks it is paying rent. It just stays and comes back everytime it is evicted!!! The only thing I have been doing more of is at times stress eating and I Have a journal and am working on this. any suggestions would be appreciated! My belly is fat and Needs to get down to 6pack abs. (or as close as I can get it to be) I am really getting depressed about this. I know that as you get older you find it harder to get rid of excess weight. This is just ovewhelming at times. I am already thru menopause and I still get hot flashes at times espically when I am doing laps in the pool. I do my mile in an hour and fifteen minutes now. (was more before) I want to get it under an hour so I can do it in the time allowed for lap swimming.

I found that tracking my calories "honestly" every day has helped me keep my weight off. You can't pretend if it's right there in front of you. There are lots of good free websites available to log your food.
