I love to walk. Even in the below zero temps. we sometimes get her in the North East, it revs me up and makes me feel good. I just layer myself full of warm clothing and off I go!

Kristen, I agree -- Dark winter mornings make slipping back into bed much more appealing! I love the idea, however, of the videos and weights a few of you mentioned. I have so many videos and a couple set of free weights, so they are always a great staple when stepping outside is just not an option! Another thing I have tried is signing up for a winter membership at a gym. A lot of gyms offer a membership for the coldest months, so you may want to look into that. And Olivia and ourfirst -- I never thought of hitting the mall for a workout -- great idea and window shopping galore! (: Thanks, gals.

Answer:

If its too yucky outside I try to do a workout video inside, or walk on my treadmill. During the winter our mall opens early on some days(before the store are even open) to let people come in and just walk for exercise, its really nice.

Dark winter mornings are rough, but I find that just getting it out of the way early in the day really helps!

I also keep some light equipment and videos at home for the days that it's just too slushy to get out. Even if I just do 20 minutes of yoga or strength training I feel much better.
