I always had normal blood pressure until the past year, when I became disabled, lost my health insurance, my car and my house! At first I believed it was being at a public health clinic that made it be so high. After 4 consecutive readings near 190/100, I was told I must start medication. I am also going thru menopause at the same time as all of the above! I am amazed at the sodium levels in some of the foods I have eaten for years! I have always tried to eat healthy, but there have been drastic changes in my diet, caused by simple label reading...I mean EVERY product, including breakfast cereals that are "healthy choices".
