Pull out all the stops
I knew after 40 years that I would have a difficult time so I pulled out all the stops. I got on 2 websites, did lots of research, had a phone counselor, wore a patch, took Zyban, started walking and read a book.I knew that after watching my mom die from complications from smoking that it was my time. I am now giving talks and starting a support group in my area through the health department in hopes that I can help others. I am so grateful every day for my "freedom" from cigarettes.

How wonderful of you to share your wisdom and courage with other people! I am 48 and quit 2 weeks ago because I was so sick I couldn't even inhale without choking my brains out. It was a God send that I got so very sick - that has never happened before and I was scared. Life becomes very precious when you believe that you are dying. I have no desire to smoke ever again. The strange thing is how easy it has been for me. My mind is set and I too am very grateful for my freedom from those cancer sticks!! Keep up the good work and spread the word!! : )
